Langthorne Community Junction
Langthorne Community Junction will benefit local residents and visitors to the nearby Health Centre and School by providing them a meeting place, a break space, and an improved civic identity.
The structural elements of the project will be constructed of brick - a material used extensively in the former Temple Mills Railway works- and the final design will be developed in conjunction with local construction students working with bricklaying techniques. Historically the local area housed many of the Temple Mills workers. The Langthorne Community Junction will acknowledge this rich history and create a place which residents are proud to use.
Drop in Community Consultation Monday 26 March 5-7pm
Local residents are invited to come along and to find out more about plans for the new public space on the corner of Langthorne Road and Brierely Road. We would also like to hear your ideas. Come along and enjoy a cup of tea and coffee. There will also be a free pattern making workshop for children.
Date: Monday 26th March
Location: Nexus Centre, 3 Snowberry Close, E15 2AH
